the origin story
Founder Elara Voss, a former textile researcher, started Genuine Store after noticing the disconnect between mass production and authentic connection. What began as a small studio sale in Copenhagen evolved into a global community of slow-living advocates.
Today, we collaborate with 14 independent makers across 6 countries — from Japanese indigo dyers to Portuguese cork artisans. Every object is chosen to age gracefully, become heirloom, and spark daily wonder.
